Bonum Gruppen earned 278 million

Bonum Gruppen highlights data centres as a new growth area after a challenging year for property developers. At the same time, the group's result increased sharply in 2025.

Bonum Gruppen achieved a pre-tax result of 274 million kroner in 2025, up from 190 million the year before. The annual result ended at 278 million kroner, compared with 153 million in 2024.

The group develops residential and commercial property in the Oslo region, whilst simultaneously building a Nordic platform for data centre development. The improved result comes after a year in which the housing market has been characterised by interest rate uncertainty, high construction costs and more hesitant homebuyers.

Data centres as a strategic growth area

In the annual report, Bonum highlights data centres as the group's most important new investment area, and the board expects that the business will contribute substantially to earnings in the years ahead.

– Data centres are a strategic growth area for Bonum alongside property development. In this market, the bottleneck is not demand, but the ability to combine the right site, real power access, grid connection, planning permission and credible progress towards realisation, says managing director of Bonum, Anders Bakken Eriksen.

Earlier this year, Bonum established a Nordic investment platform for data centres together with BGO. The platform has an equity framework of 1.4 billion kroner and will invest in new data centre projects in the Nordic region.

A divided housing market

The property market remains challenging. Interest rate developments have made homebuyers more cautious, whilst high contractor costs and lengthy planning processes put pressure on profitability.

Several projects received planning permission and sales launch in 2025. At the same time, the market is divided: demand is strongest for centrally located quality homes, whilst other projects have longer sales times.

The result development was largely driven by financial items. The group recorded other financial income of 362 million kroner and net financial items of nearly 270 million kroner.
