Bonum is one step closer with 40 flats in Bærum

– We commend the planning committee for processing the case, even though the detailed zoning plan for streets and public spaces is not quite finalised. It provides more predictable progress for the project. We were also pleasantly surprised that the County Council withdrew its objection to the plan for streets and public spaces immediately during the meeting

Last week, the planning committee processed the proposal for the new residential quarter. Soon the municipal council will give its opinion

Bonum has long been working on the residential project, which will include nine terraced houses facing and up to 31 flats along the railway line right next to Stabekk station.

The planning proposal was out for consultation in spring 2024 and has subsequently been adjusted to meet requirements from Bane NOR and Akershus County Council's need for a temporary construction area for the conversion of Gamle Drammensvei from road to street when the Gjønnes tunnel opens in 2030.

– We commend the planning committee for processing the case, even though the detailed zoning plan for streets and public spaces is not quite finalised. It provides more predictable progress for the project. We were also pleasantly surprised that the County Council withdrew its objection to the plan for streets and public spaces immediately during the meeting, says Bonum's project manager Paul Koefoed in a press release.

The company aims to start the project quickly and submit a framework application as soon as the municipality has prepared the cost estimate for public spaces and technical infrastructure, and a development agreement for the project has been entered into.

The planning proposal is to be processed by the municipal council on 2 April, and Bonum is planning to start construction in 2026.
