– There is currently a great need for new flats to be built centrally in Oslo. We launched the project for sale in spring 2023, and are very pleased to have started construction, with satisfactory sales. There are not many new projects for sale in Oslo at the moment, and this is therefore one of few housing projects that will be delivered in 2026, says Eskild Skåttun, project manager at Bonum.
Construction commenced in January, and the project is estimated to be delivered in the second quarter of 2026.
Marstrandgata 11 is a high-quality project where great emphasis has been placed on architecture that continues the existing block structure for which Grünerløkka is known. The use of brick, inspired by the older factory buildings in the surrounding area, gives the building a site-appropriate character. – Highly attractive communal areas with both private and shared roof terraces give the flats urban qualities. We find that the project resonates well with buyers. The project is located in a secluded and quiet part of Rodeløkka, just a couple of minutes away from Olaf Ryes plass at Grünerløkka, says Ruben Wilhelmsen, partner and marketing director at Bonum.
– We are already experiencing a shift in the market, 26 of the 73 flats in the project have been sold and we are confident that the project will continue to sell well in the period leading up to delivery, he continues.
The project is designed by Vigsnæs og Kosberg Arkitekter, and Bundebygg is the contractor.
Coop moving into the ground floor
Coop Øst is opening a new Extra shop in premises of nearly 800 square metres in Marstrandgata.
– Coop is owned by its customers, and for us it is important to have shops where our customers and members live. Marstrandgata is an exciting project that we are pleased to be part of, says Are Gulsett, establishment and development manager at Coop Øst.
Extra is the fastest-growing chain in the grocery sector in recent years, and customers have appreciated the shop where the chain has established itself, according to Coop. The reason is said to be a combination of low prices and a wide selection.
