Bonum acquires architecture firm
Bonum continues to grow and has an ever-increasing need for architectural services, so it was natural to forge even closer ties with some of our closest collaborators

Property development company Bonum has acquired Fjord Arkitekter.
– Bonum continues to grow and has an ever-increasing need for architectural services, so it was natural to forge even closer ties with some of our closest partners in this field, says Anders Bakken Eriksen, partner and head of acquisitions at Bonum.
Bonum has used Fjord Arkitekter for several years and is very satisfied with the collaboration and what they have delivered.
– The way the market is at the moment, optimal utilisation of the properties Bonum develops is essential, so we need architects who are able to see the really good solutions, without unnecessarily delaying the application processes, Eriksen points out.
– Finn Magnus Rasmussen and Ole Henrik Hiorth at Fjord Arkitekter have proved to be architects who master both the classical elements of the architectural profession, as well as the more legal aspects that we find are becoming increasingly important, he continues.
– We have worked with Bonum for three to four years now, and we have got to know each other well. Getting the opportunity to follow Bonum's development going forward and their investment in Fjord Arkitekter will be very exciting, says Finn Magnus Rasmussen, managing director and architect at Fjord Arkitekter.
The collaboration between the two companies has worked very well.
– We find it professionally rewarding to work on the projects for Bonum. Here we get the opportunity to come in at an early stage and follow the projects through to completion. In this way we will achieve high quality in the end result, says Rasmussen.
Bonum now owns the majority of Fjord Arkitekter, but Hiorth and Rasmussen will continue to be on the ownership side.
– All employees will continue, but the company is likely to strengthen the staff further in the near future, now that the volume of assignments from us is increasing further, Bonum notes.
Eriksen does not wish to comment on the price, but can disclose that it was a price that reflected the company's underlying values and the competence of key personnel.
– Bonum is extremely satisfied with the acquisition. Aside from the professional aspect, Fjord Arkitekter is also a good match organisationally, both companies are young and the culture of hard work being what counts for success is already established. We like that, he concludes.
