Bonum, together with partners, has recently entered into an agreement with Aspelin Ramm for an apartment building on Tjuvholmen.
The investment comprises 38 flats in an apartment building centrally located on Tjuvholmen, adjacent to the hotel The Thief.
"The previous owner, together with Selvaag, has done a truly exemplary job with the development of Tjuvholmen, and in our view the area is becoming more and more attractive. The investment represents a good opportunity for us to use our expertise in renovation and sales to create added value," says Anders Bakken Eriksen, managing director of Bonum.
The property will be taken over during the current year. Aspelin Ramm has owned the building since it was built in 2013. Bonum plans to modernise the flats.
"We look forward to bringing the units up to the standard the location deserves, and offering future owners an increasingly scarce opportunity to own their own home in Tjuvholmen's vibrant residential environment. We also plan to offer the market some rarely beautiful units on the upper floors, so watch this space," Bakken Eriksen points out.
Satisfied seller
"Like most others, we work actively with our portfolio, and in today's market we take an extra look at whether we are the right owner going forward, or whether other use of capital and expertise will generate greater value. Letting out flats is not part of our strategy, so we are very satisfied with this transaction," says Mona Aarebrot, director of property and market at Aspelin Ramm.
The law firm Thommessen was legal adviser to the seller and Akershus Eiendom assisted as broker. The purchase price in the transaction is confidential.
