BORA + BONUM = SUCCESS IN RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS
Bonum sets the bar high for structural and aesthetic quality
You can almost recognise a Bonum project by its style and design. At Bonum, great emphasis is placed on exclusive choice of materials, the environment, distinctiveness and details.
Every single detail in the project is carefully considered. From the feeling you get when you set your feet on the floor in the morning to how you receive your guests at a dinner party.
BONUM first out with BORA
When the BORA downdraft extractor was presented to the Norwegian market in 2012, kitchen customers, dealers and property developers were naturally sceptical. The traditional cooker hood still dominated both the market and the kitchen.
It says something about Bonum that they were one of our first project customers for BORA in Scandinavia. It was both bold and forward-thinking of Bonum to install BORA in the flats in several projects at that time.
Bonum has a strategy of exploring the homes of the future and has, right from the start, been keen to stay ahead with the use of new technology.
Emphasis on design
Not only did BORA downdraft make kitchen design easier for Bonum's interior architects. Customers were also impressed by the high standard and good functionality in every detail.
BORA downdraft ventilation is perfectly suited to the modern and welcoming expression that Bonum also aims for in its residential projects. BORA downdraft ventilation is known for its many prestigious design awards and satisfies Bonum's high requirements for elegance.
Kitchen islands with hob, but without cooker hood, can easily become part of the living room. In several of the flats, the BORA hob is placed in front of windows with a fantastic view. There are no problems with grease during cooking. It disappears straight down into the extractor's grease filter, which can easily be washed in the dishwasher.
Modern home buyers do not want to stand in a corner or against a wall to prepare food. They want the kitchen to be a social zone where cooking becomes a pleasant part of the meal.
BORA + Bonum = success in residential projects
Every single Bonum home is individually adapted with great emphasis on design and function. And customers greatly appreciate the care!
A modern and functional kitchen that is adapted to a modern lifestyle is important in a high-standard home. With award-winning downdraft ventilation from BORA, you avoid the bulky and noisy cooker hood and can prepare food without noise and without grease vapour and cooking odours.
Particularly where the kitchen is part of the living room, an effective and quiet, yet invisible, extractor makes a big difference.
Tek 17 and kitchen extraction
Stefan Yan, development manager at Bonum, says that there have never been any problems in relation to building regulations and the use of downdraft ventilation. As long as BORA downdraft ventilation is not used as a compensatory measure. Instead, BORA is used as an additional measure that does not replace the requirement for air supply boosting, and the downdraft solution can be used perfectly well.
Recirculation filter
BORA downdraft ventilation is sold with extraction or recirculation. Globally, BORA's sales with recirculation account for 80%, in Norway approximately 60%. Many choose recirculation for practical reasons relating to installation. But also for energy-saving reasons (recirculated warm air is returned to the room), and for fire safety and aesthetic reasons. The latter is especially the case in apartment buildings where one wishes to avoid perforated surfaces on the façade. We believe future building regulations will be more favourably disposed towards the use of recirculation filters in new residential projects, as the technological innovation is so noticeable.
