Bonum AS is now hiring an established expert source to manage their PR work.

Nikolaos Farmakis took up the position as head of PR at Bonum on 1 February.

Farmakis has for many years been spokesman for Utleiemegleren, where he has commented on the company's activities and the Norwegian rental market in particular, and has also built up Utleiemegleren's price statistics with a regular PR routine. He has also commented on property as an investment for private individuals.

– Bonum is an incredibly exciting company within an industry I like. They are in strong growth and have a management team that understands the benefit of using communication strategically to achieve business goals. This is where I wanted to work, says Farmakis.

He adds that it is particularly enjoyable for him to work with a management team where everyone is younger than him.

– You notice that there is lots of energy and knowledge there, which I want to be part of, says Farmakis.

He has previously worked at VG, DN and NA24.no in addition to Utleiemegleren.

– I think like a journalist every day and speak about stories with journalists in the Norwegian press often. The advantage of working in a company like Bonum is that they have so much expertise in a number of specialist fields that it is interesting to create news content about, and that is my most important task.

Farmakis holds a degree in economics and business administration from Norges Handelshøyskole and also has a Master's in real estate finance from KTH in Stockholm in collaboration with Senter for eiendomsfag. He also has foundation and intermediate courses in comparative politics. He has also undertaken smaller property projects as a private individual.

Media and industry knowledge

Ruben Wilhelmsen, marketing director and partner at Bonum, explains that Bonum has been looking for a person with Farmakis' expertise for quite some time.

– For Bonum it was crucial to find someone with solid industry knowledge, as well as a competent background in communication, he says.

– Bonum sees a need going forward in connection with the company's growth and upcoming projects to strengthen both internal and external communication, and found a very good candidate in Nikolaos. He has in-depth experience from a similar role at Utleiemegleren and a solid background from the media industry. Nikolaos will be a valuable addition for Bonum going forward, Wilhelmsen concludes.
