Bought farm and secured 34,000 square metre development site
The developers believe their project will be a good addition to the local area, and are soon ready to enter into dialogue with the municipality and planning authorities.

When current operations are concluded in a few years, Bonum, Daimyo and the Reitan family stand ready to replace most of it.
We believe it is time to consider the property's future use and a good socio-economic utilisation of this central site. A combination of residential and commercial is being considered and will also contribute as a good addition to the local area, says Anders Bakken Eriksen at Bonum.
In partnership with Daimyo Eiendom and Rema Etablering, Bonum has secured what they call a strategic site in Asker municipality. There they have acquired Ravnsborg gård along the E18 at Hvalstad, three kilometres from the municipal boundary with Bærum. This is currently one of Norway's largest producers of culinary herbs.
What they paid for the property they choose to keep to themselves.
It is designated for commercial use in overarching plans, but has great potential for housing in the upper part. Of a total of 34,000 square metres, over 7,000 square metres are set aside for cultural heritage, including the old farm buildings. We are now looking at various alternatives with a combination of residential, commercial and retail, as well as alternatives with production and warehouse/logistics, points out project manager Paul Koefoed at Bonum.
The developers believe their project will be a good addition to the local area, and are soon ready to enter into dialogue with the municipality and planning authorities. But the timeframe has not yet been finalised.
The relationship to the E18 and whether the municipality will allow planning work to commence before the E18 is detailed and regulated by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration will affect progress and opportunities, but we have a long-term perspective and also see it as relevant to develop the site in several phases, Koefoed continues.
In the initial phase, they are working with Koht arkitekter and Asplan Viak to map overarching guidelines and explore the potential. At the same time, the developers are talking to several operators within various segments with a view to co-use.
