The company Bonum wants to establish itself in Østfold and is seeking local people with property expertise. Fredrikstad is exciting, and we absolutely want to build there.

That is what Ruben Wilhelmsen, marketing director and partner in the property company Bonum, says.

They are behind a number of residential projects in Oslo, and have just established themselves in Drammen. Now they are looking towards Østfold, and especially Fredrikstad and Moss. To be able to establish themselves, they need local expertise.

"The Østfold area is very exciting, and we are now looking at a possible entry, provided that we find the right local expertise," Wilhelmsen tells the property news site Estate Nyheter.

To Fredrikstad Blad he says that initially they want to get in touch with people with the right expertise about Fredrikstad. They will be tasked with bringing the property developer to the city.

"The goal is clearly to build in Fredrikstad in the longer term," he says.
Bonum consists of several subsidiaries, and has, amongst other things, been responsible for the development of residential complexes at Rodeløkka, Nordstrand, Grønland, St. Hanshaugen and in Ekebergåsen.

According to accounts for Bonum AS, they had a turnover of over 404 million kroner in 2016, and recorded a pre-tax profit of 22 million kroner.

"This will require someone with weight and experience from the property industry, who has previously been involved in developing larger projects in the area, and is from or lives in the area. A well-established network within the industry locally is a given," says Christian Kjemperud, HR and personnel manager, to Estate about who they are looking for.

The reasons why the property developer wants to come to Østfold include, amongst other things, that the housing market is developing positively here, with high immigration, attractiveness and the construction of the Intercity railway.
