Bonum and Brødrene Jensen have purchased an approximately 19-acre commercial plot for further residential development.
The properties are part of a new neighbourhood in Ås municipality south of Oslo, which in the long term is to be developed with several hundred flats according to a press release.
"We have contributed to the transformation of Langbakken Industriområde. Ås has many daily commuters from, amongst others, Oslo, and the ambitions have been to create housing also for workers and students who today do not find it natural to settle in Ås," states managing director Helge Hellebust at Varde-Eiendom.
The area is rurally situated and Bonum has ambitions to create an urban residential environment with a clear focus on the environment and sustainable solutions, hopefully by drawing on experience from the professional community at NMBU and other partners. Our goal is to reduce the environmental impact of our projects and contribute to a sustainable future with what we believe will be the home of the future, points out partner and marketing director Ruben Wilhelmsen at Bonum.
However, the press release says nothing about what they paid for the site, when construction will begin or how much they will sell for in Ås.
"We are going to start the planning process and are aiming for a sales launch at the beginning of 2023. There will be none in this project," points out Wilhelmsen.
Newsec was the agent in the transaction, Haavind assisted the seller and Wiersholm assisted the buyer.
