Estate agency chief on new proptech product: "This is a game changer"

Bonum has taken a step into the future with the launch of a new service designed to make the customer journey smoother for home buyers, and sales easier for developers.
"This is an idea we've wanted to implement for years, but which has only now become technically feasible. Put simply, we want home buyers to be able to purchase a home the way you buy a Tesla or Mac today, where you customise the product to your needs before ordering and see the changes in real time," says Ruben Wilhelmsen, marketing director and partner at Bonum, explaining that in practice this means you can "play the Sims" in your future flat, send it to your partner for input and press buy once adjustments and furnishing are complete.
Wilhelmsen points out that in today's property market, it is becoming increasingly important to offer customers a better customer journey and present projects in the best possible way.
"Metaliving is Bonum's answer to this need, and the platform introduces an impressive degree of interactivity, visual quality and customisation. Prospective buyers can now tailor, furnish and visualise down to the smallest detail in their future homes before they buy. This gives customers a rare opportunity for real-time adjustments and experience of their future home, and developers unique insights that have not previously been available in the industry," he continues.
Focusing on international markets
Metaliving represents a significant innovation in the way we approach the sale of new builds. With the experience we've gained from Placepoint and with a solid team in place, it's time to release this technology to customers rather than keeping it to ourselves, says Wilhelmsen.
First in line are Bonum's upcoming projects, as well as a few selected operators here in Norway. Beyond this, they are focusing mainly on customers in Europe and the USA.
Privatmegleren is first out of the blocks and believes Metaliving is a fantastic tool.
"It gives us the opportunity to offer customers a completely unique experience. With the realistic 3D rendering and the possibility for customer customisation, we can really show the properties at their best. This isn't just a tool, it's a game changer," says Fredrik Dyve at PrivatMegleren Dyve & Partnere.
Recognised suppliers on board
To ensure that home buyers get an experience beyond the ordinary, the new company has set up collaborations with a range of recognised suppliers so that users can customise their future homes with the best products on the market. This includes well-known names such as Ikea, Samsung, Miele, Sonos, Expo Nova, Hästens and others. These collaborations give users access to an extensive range of furniture, household appliances and interior products that can be integrated seamlessly into their virtual future home and can be purchased directly in the solution.
