Nordre Follo municipality has approved a new zoning plan for Kantorveien in Kolbotn.

It was a unanimous decision that secured Bonum progress in the housing project in Kolbotn. The plan is to develop 28 residential units in one apartment building with four floors and 14 terraced houses just outside Kolbotn town centre. The project is located in Kantorveien, just outside Kolbotn town centre, with short distance to train and bus connections.

The planning area is located on a height west of Kolbotnvannet, and also includes consolidation of the existing small housing area and re-establishment of natural area and edge vegetation towards the lake. The total gross floor area for the new buildings is 3,100 square metres. R21 arkitekter is the architect, whilst Civitas has been the expert adviser for the zoning process.

Nordre Follo municipality believes the project will contribute positively to a varied housing composition in the area, to a good mix of terraced houses, flats and detached houses.

"We are naturally very pleased to have reached the goal and have an approved zoning plan. It has been a long process with several changes along the way, but we are satisfied with the final result and are now looking forward to starting construction of new homes in Kantorveien. We at Bonum consider the project an important contribution to densification of station-adjacent areas in Kolbotn, and believe we are thereby adding sought-after housing qualities to Kolbotn," says Chief Executive Officer Anders Bakken Eriksen at Bonum.

But Eriksen also sees the project in a somewhat broader perspective.

"In light of the temporary ban on measures and planned revision of the small housing plan, we also see that there may be low supply of housing types like this in the Oslo area. With the proposal for a new small housing plan, even terraced houses will not be possible to build, and we believe that with a location five minutes from the Oslo border and 10 minutes from Oslo S by train, the project will be attractive well beyond Kolbotn," concludes Eriksen at Bonum.
